Candice

In January 2025, Candice flew to her forever home. Her story began on the shore of Lake Sevan, where she was found as a tiny kitten with a serious wound on her abdomen. She was rushed to the same veterinary clinic where all our animals are treated and monitored.

Her wound healed successfully, but by then the veterinary team had grown so attached to Candice that they could not bring themselves to release her back onto the street. Instead, they decided to try to find her a home. Candice turned out to be wonderfully mischievous and full of energy. At the clinic, she became inseparable from a cat named Albus, whom our vets had once quite literally put back together after he was hit by a car. Albus and Candice slept together, ate together, and went everywhere side by side.

Then one day, after making a full recovery, Albus found a family and left for his new home. Candice stayed behind, waiting for her own people to notice her. Losing her friend was very hard on her, and the veterinary team was worried. Together, we decided to take Candice under Kotoprovod’s care and continue the search for her family.

Her future mom saw a repost online and contacted us immediately! Once all the documents and quarantine requirements were complete, Candice happily set off for her new life.

Candice is now called Stormik (“Stormy”). This is how her person describes her: “Her full name, Stormageddon (‘Storm Armageddon’), suits her perfectly. She is some kind of cross between a cat, a fox, and a ferret: she squeaks and chuckles at me, burrows under blankets, pants after hunting, and leaps five feet into the air after her fishing-rod toy.”

Stormik regularly sends us greetings and updates from her busy, happy, love-filled life.
