Funtik is a young, affectionate cat looking for a home where he will be the only cat. He is currently in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and we can help arrange travel to countries in the CIS and Europe.
He was first seen outside during the winter, very thin, with missing fur and bare skin on his sides. At first he was afraid of people. Over several months he learned to trust them, and in early September 2026 he let someone take him indoors. He was dehydrated and had several open wounds.
At his foster home, Funtik immediately took to his bed, scratching post and litter box. He loves sitting on laps, purring and being petted.
Tests showed that Funtik has FIV, feline immunodeficiency virus. It does not spread to people or dogs, but because of the risk to other cats, he needs a home without other cats. His health will need attentive care.
Funtik is about a year and a half old. He has been treated for fleas, ticks and internal parasites; vaccination is still ahead. Please contact us to learn more about him and discuss living with an FIV-positive cat.
