In April 2024, the tiniest little sister found her forever home!
Shawarma was the weakest of the three basement kittens. Her brother, our graduate Tarakashkin, and her sister, our graduate Bitcoin, were braver and more active. When she was still tiny, Shawarma went through an acute infection that almost cost her the sight in one eye.
In the winter of 2024, we caught both sisters and spayed them one after the other. We managed to save Shawarma’s eye: she had a complex surgery, and now she can see with it again, although the vision in that eye is most likely still weaker.
Shawarma turned out to be a very gentle and affectionate girl, but also a big scaredy-cat. That trait probably helped her survive her basement childhood. Both sisters happily stayed forever with the families they had first gone to only as foster homes.
