The little apricot-colored baby — the name Tsiran means “apricot” in Armenian — was abandoned outside our volunteer’s door when he was still tiny. He could not yet eat or even go to the toilet on his own. His fur, eyes, and nose were perfectly clean, which could only mean that he had been born to a house cat. Most likely, someone took him to play with and then threw him out.
We had to take on the role of his mother cat: stimulating his digestion, bottle-feeding him formula on a strict schedule, and gradually teaching him to eat kitten food.
Fortunately, a wonderful family soon fell in love with our sunny little Apricot. Tsiran has now grown into a huge, funny, and very affectionate cat who is living his best life with his family. And, of course, he regularly sends us greetings.
