Violet

Violet (nicknamed Filya) is Curry’s, Olive’s, Ganache’s, Molly’s, and Katerina’s brother. Like the others, he was rescued from the same abandoned construction site where our volunteers carry out trapping and sterilization.

He was the first of his crew to come off the street — because of a persistent cough. The cough has been treated, and during his examination we also found dental problems: some teeth had to be removed. His gums still flare up occasionally and we treat them with metrogil. Otherwise he is in great health and is going to grow into an enormous fluffy guy. He is neutered, vaccinated, has all anti-parasite treatments, and also has a passport and microchip. Litter box use is perfect.

Violet lives in foster care together with Olive — they’ve been inseparable since their days on the street. These days, Filya behaves like a typical teenager: very curious, active, and increasingly interested in testing the boundaries of what is reachable. He is the first to explore new places and may climb somewhere you would least expect to find him.

At the same time, Filya is very friendly and affectionate. He actively seeks people out, loves attention, almost never scratches, and does not cause trouble on purpose: he does not knock things off tables or destroy things, and when he is not in explorer mode he behaves quite neatly. Sometimes, though, his funny young adventurer side switches on.

Compared with Olive, Filya feels a little more predictable and thoughtful: he quickly understands rules and is usually easier to read. He can be a bit shy around strangers, but warms up quickly — especially if he is given time and calmly shown that people can be trusted.
