Martha lived on the grounds watched over by the administration of the venue where we often hold popular science lectures and festivals to raise funds for Kotoprovod. This place is connected with many other cats who came under our care: Sprat, the unnamed festival cat, and Keks.
Letters and Numbers themselves care for many cats, treating and sterilizing them. We actively help each other with cat-related matters. That is what happened when Martha became ill. She developed constant, severe diarrhea and needed medical care and an indoor foster home. At that point, we took over her care and added her to Kotoprovod’s list of cats.
And this is what Martha turned out to be like:
She comes over to be petted, likes lying nearby, and loves lying by the window and looking outside. She sleeps a lot and does not like being touched at those moments. If she plays with your hands, she does not use her claws and does not grip hard.
She likes her litter box to be clean. If that condition is met, she never misses it.
When I lie down, she settles next to me on the edge of the bed or sofa, under my hand, so I can stroke her head or her butt.
We managed to find the cause of her illness: protozoa. We treated her successfully. During that time, Martha became a completely indoor cat, and returning her to the street was no longer an option.
On May 5, 2025, we received the best possible news from her foster home: they would not be giving her back. Martha’s temporary home became her permanent one. She is very loved, and we constantly see greetings from her on social media.
